Business ethics

Introduction

The national and international legal environment is creating growing risks for major international groups such as Bouygues.

Intended as more than just a response to an increasingly complex regulatory environment, the business ethics seminar invites each manager to clarify their ethical values and take the full measure of their personal liability in such a context. Compliance rules and charters are only a framework and are not enough to express the values that managers must embody and nurture on a daily basis in their teams.

Aims

• To comprehend the current regulatory environment stemming from France’s Sapin 2 law, its challenges, its legal framework and its compliance rules.

• To help managers understand the various key roles and responsibilities of a senior executive

• To understand the major legal risks for the company, for colleagues, for yourself

• To provide clear positions and send internal alerts to the appropriate level of management.

• To know how to communicate the appropriate messages and train your team on a regular basis

Content

The teaching method used in the seminar is based on an exchange of ideas and experiences, and on comparing the perceptions of managers from the six business segments.

The analysis of a “realistic” case scenario, under the direction of a manager from the Group’s legal department, aims to facilitate the comprehension and buy-in of a method for analysing weak signals, as well as of response and reaction strategies.

Contributions from specialist lawyers will help participants better comprehend the various challenges.

A Q&A session with Olivier Roussat, Chief Executive Officer of the Group, closes this seminar.

Target audiences

This two-day in-person seminar is aimed primarily at Group Management Meeting members who must be exemplary in terms of business ethics for the people they manage. It is also open to “Perspective” and “Trajectoire” programme participants.

Seminar materials

The materials are provided by the trainer at the end of the training programme.
