The aim of the seminar

The “Accepting uncertainty” seminar invites you to inspire confidence, open up possibilities and take action despite scarce resources, an unclear context and an uncertain outlook.

Content

It draws on the story of Moses, who is famous for exhorting his followers to leave Egypt in order to escape slavery.

The Prophet urged the Israelites to march towards a still imperceptible reality, to explore new horizons and allow themselves to be surprised by what is coming – with absolutely no certainty. He wanted them to embrace the future and adapt to an open, fertile and multi-faceted reality. Moses confronts Pharaoh with an eventful time that breaks with the continuation of slavery. He advocates keeping an open mind, as events always surpass their representations.

This unexpected attitude towards events is bound to create resistance; Moses himself found some difficulty in…accepting uncertainty. We invite participants to take this path by themselves, and with others, whilst listening to an inspiring oratorio by Handel – Israel in Egypt.

Target audiences

This “Campus” programme seminar is open to all members of the Group Management Meeting and to participants in “Perspective” and “Trajectoire”.
